The Morrison Street Bar & Grill project was a multi-faceted consulting project done in conjunction with a local hospitality professional. We were tasked with making recommendations on several aspects of their business, including logo redesign, evaluating costs of their current menu, optimizing and redesigning the menu, social media setup and instruction, website design, and general marketing recommendations.
Unfortunately many aspects of the project did not get fully implemented for budgetary and personnel reasons, but we continue to be in contact with them and hope to implement additional marketing efforts at the appropriate time.
There were a few key concerns top of mind when redesigning this menu. Prior to our involvement, the bar was operating with a 4-page, folded menu that was likely more reminiscent of a diner or cafe than a modern bar/restaurant. Our challenge was to pare down the extensive menu to fit on one page, without having to introduce multiple different menus throughout the day.
Despite the high number of items on one page, our preliminary findings supported the condensed version, with most saying they found the menu easier to navigate and arrive at a decision.
